CQ Audiology

Privacy Policy

How CQ Audiology collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use this website and book an appointment.

This policy explains what personal information CQ Audiology collects through this website, why we collect it, and how you can access or correct it.

Who we are

CQ Audiology is an independent audiology practice at T33 & 34A, City Centre Plaza, 24 Fitzroy Street, Rockhampton, QLD 4700, serving Rockhampton and Central Queensland. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you use our booking or contact form, we collect the details you type in, such as your name, phone number, email address, preferred clinic and your message. Please do not put detailed health information in the form. We will ask for what we need when we speak with you.

When you phone or email us, we keep a record of that contact so we can reply and look after your appointment.

Like most websites, we collect basic usage data, such as the pages visited, device type and approximate location, using Google Analytics. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange or confirm your appointment.
  • To provide our services and keep the records required for your care.
  • To run and improve this website.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and bookings (for example our website host and form handling service, and our email provider), and where the law requires or allows it. These providers may store data on servers outside Australia.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure how the website is used. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and the website will still work.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online transmission is completely secure, so please contact us by phone if you prefer not to send details through the website.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing reception@cqaudiology.com.au or phoning (07) 4848 6528. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will look into it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
